Hey! I have been wanting to teach my twinners to sign. Should I start now, and where can I get these great dvds?

Hey you! Now would be the perfect time to start. You can email me and I will get you the first Baby Signing Time. Otherwise, you can buy them at www.signingtime.com. We are having a contest right now too, where you could potentially win them. But, go ahead and email me lindsey@signingtime.com with your address and I will send you the first one.

I've been wanting to get a video for Beau. I can tell he's my third because I'm trying to do things right where I either messed up or was neglectful with my other kids, like getting them to nurse or eat solid foods or not worrying about holding him too much (like I did with Bekah.) By the way, I really appreciated your comment on my "suffering" post, and I really liked the article you attached. And even if I don't comment a lot on your posts, I want you to know that I read them and they always seem to stick with me. I love the articles you find that express what you're feeling so well. I always feel more introspective after reading your posts, and that's a good thing! I love you Lindsey girl!

That was great, really. I have heard that teaching kids to sign at a young age cuts way down on temper tantrums, because they can communicate what they want rather than throw a fit if they're not understood. At least it worked for my nephew:)

Cute! I did baby signs with Ben, but I never had a fancy schmancy video! Maybe I'll have to get it for this one. Anyway the other day Laura did the sign for "more" to Ben and asked him if he could remember what it meant (since he hasn't done the sign for more since he was probably 1 1/2 or 2) and he said he didn't know... then she told him to do it, and he did it a couple times then said Oh, it means "more!" And then after that he did the signs for please and hungry. I thought it was so crazy that he could remember what they mean after not doing any of them for years!

Oh and you know what the best sign EVER is?!?! "Help!" That one was so awesome when Ben couldn't talk, because any time he got frustrated or couldn't do something he'd just sign help to me.

Schneider: Should be in the mail love...oh I can't wait to see those babies all over the place signing 'milk'

Paynes: Starting with the third...sounds about right! Thanks for the lovely words. I sure love you too...keep up the blogging-mommy thing...you certainly have a knack!

Tara: What?? No way, which one is your neice?

John and Angela: You hit it right on the nose. Studies have found that sign language not only opens up communication, but actually improves general IQ scores. You can see a whole bunch of articles posted by parents, educators and professionals here: http://www.signingtime.com/resources/articles/. Tell the nephew to keep signing!!

Caryn: Send me your mailing address. I can hook you up, just let me know. By the way help and helicopter are my favorites. Of course, help is probably a more likely communication tool than helicopter :)
